Smalls rocks. You can pay $5 and hang out there all night. We used to go in there and chill after nights of hard drinking. And they don't mind if you take a nap!
I'd recommend a better jazz club than that though if you're into that sort of thing.
Birdland - Wednesday-Saturday, December 11-14 - Charlie Parker Festival
Smalls - Loser's Lounge Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel
Doors open at 8:00; Cover is $18.
The Loser's Lounge returns home to Fez with their cheeky-yet-respectful tribute to the great Simon & Garfunkel. The Kustard Kings, led by the originalLoser, Joe McGinty, trip through the careers of legendary songwriters and bands with interpretations by dozens of hip downtown singers.
Also...check out the new Planetarium at The Museum of Natural History. Is she into art? Take her to the guggenheim or the MET.
and the handsome cab ride is pure dripping romance. take it through central park. and if it's snowing....you're in that shit man!
