Also - I always used to tip the paper "boys". When I moved to LI, someone told me that Newsday keeps the tips - so I haven't done it lately.

i know someone that worked for newsday. When you send your bill in, which is where most people send the tip, it goes to the billing agent who is in charge of a certain area. part of the tip goes to the person who actually delivers your paper, but the other part stays with the billing agent, who does nothing.
