That rise is alarming, but the problem with it is that not all the hate crimes are related to neo-naziism, Germany is being overrun by immigration, and sad as it may be alot of the immigrants spend most of their days walking around looking for a fight (this is not racist, it's simply a fact) so any incident they cause is classified as a hate-crime.
The rise of Neo-Naziism is a direct result of all this immigration, in some parts of Germany it has gotten so bad that people are moving great distances so their kids can walk to school without having to fear getting stabbed on the way.
But to say that all of Germany including the government is still harboring a grudge about WW1 and 2 is a little paranoid wouldn't you say?
