I like momo's banner actually. It's plain (not plain as in simple) but it does the job very well. While gomez's style may make great sigs you don't need such a busy background for a site, it's too much on the eyes. It's pretty at first but then it will give you a headache when reading the board. Plus something not so dark, so the grey and white don't stand out so much.
