The Sales Tax Increase - aka Give More For Less

if you feel you've been given a ticket unjustly than you go to court and fight it. I've read that the amount of tickets written is down from last year anyway. And the city doesnt even make money by issueing bullshit tickets. they actually lose money. Only parking fines make the city money.
as far as the smoking ban and the tax on smokes i'm glad because it actually has helped me to quit. I havent smoked in month.
