The greatest money machine the world has ever known is war, I agree with you. But it remains to be seen if the short term prosperity lasts enough to compensate for what we spent and will still spend on the iraq war.

Long term wars create lots of prosperity as was the case with the 50's boom after WW2.

The 2nd iraq war will hinder us more than help us in the coming years I think.
