I ran across this when looking up Brain Depalma on IMDB and ran across this which I thought might be of interest. What I found on the trivia part for this film is even more interesting:

Mark Wahlberg had initially signed on to play Lee Blanchard opposite Josh Hartnett, but scheduling conflicts with Italian Job II, The (2006) prevented him from taking part.

Cause Italian Job 1 was so good, they gotta make 2 now... that movie sucked so fuckin bad.
