Who owns the rights to all The Beatles music? huh?.... anyone???

Michael Jackson, though not for long in light of his financial situation...Paul suggested that the kid-toucher invest in copywrites of music, so Jackson swiftly stabs him in the back by buying all the Beatles stuff

It pisses me off that people are calling artists like Sheryl Crow and Don Henley spoiled brats for starting that artists' rights group (with their own pocket money) They're trying to protect the rights to stuff that they wrote/performed themselves, that the record companies can just take away when the contract is over. That is fucked up! Rights to intellectual property is a major issue right now...

That being said, I still support independent/local artists, but I have an incredibly hard time getting myself to pay for any album/cd/whatever from the Major Music Companies

that is why I put in the topic of this forum:
