All this new technology is being created for broadband. Dial up aka 'the under the radar ISPs.Thats a pretty naive comment considering if they really wanted to, big brother can pretty much tap into any communication you transmit electronically, no matter who your ISP is.
My comment about rights being stripped away was about how people don't care about the little things 'til they all add up.
Quote:US Code TITLE 18, PART I, CHAPTER 119, Sec. 2511. (2) (a) (i)
"...a provider of wire communication service to the public shall not utilize service observing or random monitoring except for mechanical or service quality control checks."
Does federal law only apply when a little guy snoops on a big corporation? Where are the feds now?
Apparantly, as long as MayNERD and arpi can still get their pron they don't care about this violation. Soon enough that law will be turned over by being packaged in some set of laws that are being voted on and no one will realize it. Then they will do the same thing with laws like this, one after the other, 'til we all wake up one day and wonder what the fuck happened.
How would you feel if you were busted tonight because you violated federal copyright infringement when you and MayNerd get on AIM to swap your Ween tunes the packets of the file transfer, and the convo were interrupted by the AOL AIM servers?
