I've been using Winamp5 for a few weeks now.
There were no AOL links installed when I installed Winamp.
I like the fact that I can use real skins now.
It's very stable and sounds better (on my PC) than WA2.91 did.
I see no problem with WA5 - in fact, I highly recommend it. I also have a pre-release beta, maybe that's why I don't have the advertising.
I also got a key and unlocked the "pro" features, which essentially allow you to burn/rip music from cd's, but I use CD-DA Extractor for that - still, it's nice to have.
