Interesting.
I haven't been around "the other board" (remember when candyland was "the other board"?) because I can't get to it at work and don't get on the computer much at night. But when I do stop in every once in a while, I can't say I'm sorry not to be spending time there.
While I was still posting I tried to liven things up with a few posts. In the old days, those posts would have been considered slow pitch softballs and there would have been a dozen people trying to hit a home run. General response now? "Yeah, whatever." People don't even seem to have the energy for an old fashion tooling. Boring!
As for O&A, I haven't been listening constantly like I used to (and for the next two months I won't be able to listen at all) but I have noticed a slip.
I need to revert to "Rocky" here.
Remember how Rocky worked really hard and then one the title. Then in the sequel, he started doing commercials, TV shows, endorsements, parties, etc. and got soft. Then Klubber Lang came along and kicked the shit out of him. And then Rocky saw the error of his ways, started working hard, and fought his way to the top again?
Well, O&A are Rocky. They worked hard and got to the top, but now they're getting comfortable and complacent in their success. Maybe "the 55 gallon drum challenge" is the first sign they're waking up to the facts, or maybe it's a lazy rehash of an something they've done before. For their sake, I hope they don't need to get their asses kicked and lose a few markets before they start fighting again.
