i stayed at a condo on pico 2 weeks ago. it was soooooooo nice there. a foot of fresh powder fell the first day & the mountain was totally empty. it was quite enjoyable.
My friends live in the town where parts of Funny Farm were filmed. Specifically the Townshend town center, where the gazebo they built for the movie still stands.
Southern Vermont is where it's at. Brattleboro is a nice town and the area around it is pretty mellow. There is something in the water or the air or whatever that makes 95% of every girl you see absolutely stunning. Northern Vermont and Burlington attracts far too many tourists and skeevy druggies. I hate it.
i got massively hammered in a hotel in stowe and was asked to forfeit my room and leave the hotel. it was a fun night!
I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.

I've only been skiing in Vermont once. I believe we ended up going to Magic Mountain and there were very few people there. It had been snowing all weekend and the top of the mountain was almost an absolute blizzard. It made for fantastic skiing.
I've never been mountain biking, but the idea is intriguing. There is a particular set of falls down a forest trail by where my friends live that is absolutely amazing although dangerous. There's nice, calm little pools along the way down, but the drops between the steps are frightening. There's several signs tallying the amount of jackasses that have either died or been seriously injured there. I'll have to ask come summer where it was exactly as I'd love to take some pictures of it. It was pretty crowded last time.
