Libertarians are a bunch of nut jobs. They are like the geeks in High School playing dungeons and dragons and convincing themselves that they are cooler than everyone else in school...

Every libertarian I have ever known has a smug self satisfied smile as they say "Don't blame me, I didn't vote for........" and are convinced that if ONLY the Libertarian ideals were realized a new utopia would exist.

BUT,
Libertarian economic models are highly flawed, and would never work.... in fact not one nation has ever operated under a Libertarian system....

No, I know libertarianism, but saying "a libertarian" economic system is like saying "a democrat" economic system. It's stupid.

Libertarian is a political party; not an economic system. And Libertarianism, like Democrat or Republican has a continuoum of philosophy. I view myself as a Libertarian, but I also don't think that we should do away with the fire and police departments; nor should we live in economic Darwinism.

the libertarian secret is that it is a way of life, perhaps in the same way as "born again" christianity...which requires everyone to follow this "better way" for it to work. they certainly have that kind of annoying faith that born-again christians have as they talk about those libertarian ideals and goals.

The libertarian economy is based on accounting for every item consumed or produced so there is little waste and so that every person is given the same level of quality in good in services, no matter their social standing.

Its sort of a form of libertarian socialism.Libertarians want to 'program' the economy so they can eliminate bureaucrats, capitalist managers and technocrats.

For a libertairan economy to be successful it would require a revolution of science, culture, and technology. Its a utopian ideal which has little basis in reality.
