My wife set up a separate checking account with Chase and she has grown to hate them as well. I don't really deal with them so I don't know the specifics.
Personally, we both use Lake Michigan Credit Union. I have never had a problem with them. Also if you go in to deposit your money it shows up in your account at that moment. Any other bank that I've been to you usually have too wait 1-2 days.
