Would you really want to fight terrorists outside your back door, or through your living room window? Dead men can not fight back and if the Tali ban and AlQueda all dropped dead tomorrow, well, War over. We can not kill them from our living rooms The military has to do it for us. I certainly wish that none of our boys or girls would get killed or become causality's, but unfortunately thats the way war has always worked. Have you not seen the footage of World trade center falling down? Have you forgotten about the terror and anger you felt when when they collapsed? Personally, I have not. And yes I still wish Death and Destruction on AlQueda and the zealot Tali ban. You have a right to be pissed that George Senior didn't take care of Saddam the Jackal in the first Gulf War, I was. I didn't get it at the time and I don't get it now. We had him in full retreat and let him off the hook. But just because the job didn't get finished doesn't mean it didn't need to be done and if it took George Jr to do it then so be it. And as far as Osama Binladin goes, I don't know, just my opinion, but my best guess is that he is in Iran but its possible that he is still in Pakastan. To me it makes perfect sense, a terrorist state harboring the most infamous terrorist of this millinia. Personally I was pissed that we didn't invade Iran in 2002. It just gave Bin ladin one more friendly place to hide, not to mention more time to develop and acquire nukes or paybacks for the Iranian Embassy hostage crisis. Bush blamed him so we could finish what his dad started. Where in the flying eff is Osama BinLaden huh? Can you answer me that? While I agree that the world is a better place without Saddam in it, I believe Bush Jr's biggest reason for picking a fight with Saddam in the first place was to finish what the old man started and was smart enough to know when the objective had been met. Mad Dog, are there any other countries you would like us to invade besides Iran? North Korea's firing up the nukes again, dirty bastards! I heard that back in the 80's Northern Ireland had it's fair share of terrorists. Let's make everyone on this planet be more like us! Yeah, that's what the world needs. Who will be President? - Mad Dog - 09-22-2008 I don't think I have ever once said that we need to invade countries to make the rest of the world like us. No, I think that protecting our country from rouge nations bent on our destruction is good enough reason. If North Korea decides to invade South Korea or sell a nuke to Osama, then to me its "war on". As far as I know, Northern Ireland terrorists are almost exclusively domestic terrorists, in other words they keep there bombs at home and usually don't send them to New York. They have as far as I know , never attacked the U.S. Military or have taken over the U.S. Embassy and held American Diplomats hostage. In the event that would ever happen then "war on". Who will be President? - ker334 - 09-22-2008 I love the people that dont understand the appeal of someone like Ron Paul. Do the founders of our country have an appeal to you? If they dont then, I guess none of us should even exist in this country. Life here used to be based on simple freedom, not government take over. The value of the doller is shot, so our country is poor, our kids are stupid because our education system is shot, and socialized medicine? OK, again, if you think this is going to be free, think again. The dems are going to raise taxes, so I hate to break it to you, you are going to end up paying more for it. Not to mention, you are going to be paying for all the people that dont have jobs. Nice. Good for you Obama/McCain supporters. If you want some change, try voting for someone that wants to get back to our roots. Get back to where this country began. Obviously once we strayed from that, the downward spiral began! Oh, wait, its too late now. Saving my voting for another year. Who will be President? - hotzester - 09-24-2008 Have you all forgotten that GWB never said we were going after ONLY Iraq, or ONLY the people who financed and planned 9/11? He actually said that it was a war on TERROR, a war against anyone who harbors terrorists, allowing them to train on their soil, finances them, etc? TERRORISM. Not 9/11, not Iraq, not Afghanistan, ALL OF IT. He also said it wouldn't be over in an hour like the first one - he said it would take many, many years. Who will be President? - uhohspagettio - 09-24-2008 hotzester Wrote:Have you all forgotten that GWB never said we were going after ONLY Iraq, or ONLY the people who financed and planned 9/11?Any reason why we haven't been fighting in Africa then? Who will be President? - hotzester - 09-24-2008 I'm not privy to information on why the president does something, my point was simply refering to the people who say Iraq didn't attack us, and that GWB went after Saddam Hussein to clean up his father's unfinished business. If it were up to me, I wouldn't send troops to Africa, because the threat there is much smaller in scale, and can probably be handled covertly, not with an all out attack. But again, that's me, and in case you didn't know, I'm not the president. Who will be President? - speedbump - 09-24-2008 hotzester Wrote:and in case you didn't know, I'm not the president. Once again link removed... ~p Who will be President? - speedbump - 10-15-2008 Based on the past week, the only way Obama loses is if he Effs up in tonight's debate. He's leading in the polls, and has blown past McCain in spending. He has forced McCain out of Michigan, and is making him spend money in states that were previously GOP stalwarts. I just read he has ads in Burnout Paradise, a video game. If the Xbox 360 is connected to the internet the ads stream in the game and appear on billboards as you drive around. That's pretty cool, and I like how they're using every medium possible to attract voters. It's not over yet, but I'm not sure that Spud's "middle-class white male" is going to pull through on this one. Who will be President? - beckyp - 10-15-2008 i read a article on the web saying that the major publications are biased towards Obama, giving him positive praise and stuff. i'll try finding the link for y'all, it was interesting to read. this wasn't what i read but it's pretty much the same thing: http://people-press.org/report/427/many-say-coverage-is-biased-in-favor-of-obama Who will be President? - Allyson - 10-15-2008 I absolutely hate the media when it comes to elections. They should really just stay out. People don't decide for themselves any more, they listen to the media and let them make the decisions. Well guess what? The media does not always share both sides of the story. They pretend like they are unbiased and encouraging a fair election by just reporting the "facts" but I'm not fooled. That's why I research the candidates myself and refuse to let some dumb bitch reading off a teleprompter to dictate who I vote for. For the most part, I would believe that. Whether voters are influenced or not by the bias I'm not so sure. I would guess they are though. Who will be President? - spoonman - 10-15-2008 Voting for Obama is the same as voting in support of Socialism, Communism & moral relativism. Um...no thanks. I'm not too big on redistribution of wealth or any other things related to Communism, even though our current Rebpublican White House and Democratic Congress have already paved the way by nationalizing several of the nations largest banks and insurance firms. And considering Obama and McCain both voted in favor of the bailout, *ahem* handout, plan, I will now vote for neither. I was largely undecided on this election but these two talking heads have swayed me from indecision towards writing a candidate I originally laughed off in the beginning. Gimme Ron Paul any day over these two goons. Who will be President? - Allyson - 10-16-2008 Here we go with the media again. Every article I've read today says Obama had the clear win in last night's debate. Maybe I missed something, but I could have sworn I saw blood dripping from Obama's anus by the end of the night. Who will be President? - plungerhand - 10-16-2008 The owner of the place I work starts EVERY conversation with "uhhhhh".
