Of course it's not exactly the same thing but if they weren't able to notice 125,000 gorillas I think a few hundred "Big Foots" could go un-noticed.

Probably not in that part of Georgia, where it was said is a mile at most from a road at any given spot. The hunters said there was a whole family of them, too.

I'm just glad that they followed sound scientific procedures and shot the incredibly rare creature. All those hippie environmentalists probably would have tried to get it some kind of endangered animal protection; which would have allowed the beasts to continue feasting on the hopes and dreams of our youth. :
