Springfield Event - Queenie - 04-22-2009
Plungee and I were talking about going to the event in Springfield, IL. I've attempted to contact WQLZ to find out when and where it is going to take place, but their email server was down this morning. I'll try again later unless somebody on the board might have the info. It would be about a 5 hour drive from us, and we were figuring it would probably be about the same from GR. We could have a little message board party. I think it would be awesome! Thoughts??

i'm 5 hours away from Springfield...and haven't the funds for hotels and gasoline sadly.....I could probably hitch hike up to GR for the next one though....

I drove to Indy, and shared a hotel room with 3 other guys and spent about $60 each

I guess it all depends on when it is. I'm going to be gone from May 8 - middle of June to Arkansas. If it didn't conflict with that I would be down to split costs.

c'mon people. we're broke too. If we could ever get a firm date, ( email the guys maybe?)... we can find a cheap motel nearby and get a group rate. hell, I'll get my mom to find me coupons.
We're in the drop top so there isn't much room for carpool.
as far as sharing a room. I snore and the wife kicks...

I know that the event is June 12-14th, most likely specifically on the 13th. We don't really know what we'll be doing there yet, probably some sort of all day station event at a bar with live music and a give away.

Queenie and I have met up with people on here several times and it has always been fun. We also like to road trip. KY/IL have some great small towns. Interstate is boring...

For the West Michiganders I can probably get a van for the trip so that 4 or 5 of us can ride comfortably.

Wow, I just realized the wife and I may be driving back that weekend from visiting the family. If that is the case we actually drive right through that area. We'll see how it goes, hopefully we can make it.

we'll see where i'm at in June. if i'm still in MI then maybe but if i'm in Chicago like i want to be at that time then i'll for sure go.
