Watching Tiger Stadium slowly die is killing me - fistor!@# - 07-22-2008 It's a damn shame the decision was made to bring it down. The history in that place is almost tangible. People will go nuts when the same thing happens to Yankee Stadium, yet Tiger Stadium is barely acknowledged. Sad. Crazy how the Roman Colloseum still stands, yet a stadium about 1800 years younger has to get torn down. Good thing there was no such thing as parking lots in the 100's. To me, tearing down Tiger Stadium is akin to the French tearing down the Louvre. It's a living museum.......now, dying. The same day my adopted sister was born. Never did I think that seeing the old girl being torn down would make me sad, but it does.
