But sometimes viruses can mutate and be able to be spread to animals. Just because they can't be zombified now doesn't mean they can't be in the future.

Yep. Hopefully scientists aren't that Effing stupid, but given the track record of horrible science experiments gone wrong...we're doomed. It's bad enough when it's people but then you get zombie birds and ZOMBIE MOSQUITOES.
