Tennessee Titans chances
#1
I have season tix. I think Plunger does too. Anyone else going to the game(s)?

Whaddya think about possible record for this season? I am going 9-7.

I have a good feeling for this weekend so, that means the Titans will lose and I will not have a good feeling Monday.

Oh, the Tenn Titan's. Based on the thread title, I thought you meant titan on this board. I could say something like, "The Titan's still play football?". But I won't. Afterall, I am a Lions fan.

Yeah, I didn't really think out the title of the thread very well. I think the Lions will be a lot better this year. Of course, that means that the Fords will give Matt Millen a 50 year contract so, you got to pick your poison.

I was going, but got bumped out of 2 different pairs of tics!! (Some friends) Now I'm disgusted and don't really care. If the Titans can beat the Jags at home, they might have a decent season.

I sent the Queen my seat info. (I thought you still had the season tix.) You have to look me up when you make it to a game. Agreed on the Jax game. Hopefully, Vince will improve over last year. In my opinion, Vince is not the problem. Receivers that cannot hold on to the ball is the problem. Vince lead the league last year in dropped balls. He deserves some criticism but, I think sometimes it is overblown.

I did have a seat. I sold it to my buddy when I moved out of town. I still go, but not every game.

Well we got the first one under the belt. Defense looked awesome. Offense so-so. Receivers have to catch the ball. VY gets a bad rap but, his receivers just cannot seem to catch the ball when he throws it. My God it was hotter than 2 hells out there today. Just glad I am a veteran and loaded up on the sunscreen.

One of the worst sunburns I've ever had was one of these beginning of the year ballgames.

I'd say the put up a 9-7 record this year. They just dont have all the peices to the puzzle.

Congratulations Titan fans!

Must be nice to root for a team that doesn't allow all their opponents to set new records.

That was hilarious how Zane was going off on the Lions!!

In case you didn't hear it, he said he was driving home and was recording it to watch later. His wife asked him why he was going to watch it, and he replied something like well maybe they'll be better this year. He got home around 6:00 and watched 10 minutes and started cussin!!!

I'm sorry, I just can't believe with all the typos in your post that your yard was cut anywhere near straight!!! Tongue

The Patriots will still have a good season, as long as Cassel isn't the next Joey Harrington. Brady didn't make the Pats. The Pats made Brady. (much like the Steelers Defense made Roethlisberger)

the Titans have a solid top 3 defense, and one of the best running back tandoms in the NFL.....receiving corps is a bit below average but they will be ok..... I hope to see them win 11 games this year!!

Defense is definitely smothering. Interesting to see what Collins does now that VY is out with the knee/motivation issues.

I have been a staunch supporter of VY but, he lost me on Sunday. He is making a fortune and he can't deal with it when fans boo when he throws an interception to a wide open defensive end? I really don't see how he will recover from these latest issues. He is not doing anything bad like Pacman but, his teammates have to have lost some trust in him.

That being said, I'd take 11 wins now and head to playoffs. If you could work that out, that would be great.

I'm sorry Titan's fans, but Vince Young is a puss. If you can't take a little criticism, you don't a place anywhere in the working world. Not just football. Who hasn't had to sit and listen to your boss or customer tell you that you need to improve in certain areas? Welcome to the real world Vince. It's called life. There's a support group that meets every Friday at the bar.

Well his puss ass will be sitting out for 2-4 weeks with a knee injury. Kerry Collins will come to the rescue and they just signed former Tampa Bay QB Chris Sims as well.

I gotta agree with airhorn.... VY gets paid the big bucks to be able to take criticism ...and boos

I was at the game, and my whole section was confused as hell as to why Fisher had to get Vince off the bench.

I like Vince, but we should've gone with Cutler. Running Quarter backs get hurt too easily....and it looks like they cry when fans do what fans do...

(anybody listen to Rome too?) War half-face sun burns on Sunday!

I am soooo glad VY showed his true colors. I hate how people credit players with "greatness", before they have actually earned it. I was pleasantly surprised with the offense and think they(Titans) may have a playoff shot. Has anybody else looked ahead to see that Titans play the Lions on Thanksgiving?

Like Rome too. I was at the game with my daughter and missed the sideline exchange. But, after I heard about it, I could not believe it. I was there for the McNair/O'Donnell debate, and trust me, Vince has NEVER heard anything like Mac did. I wish we had taken Cutler too but, according to most experts the choice for the Titans was between Leinert and Young. Looks like the experts were dead-on once again.

The Lions are usually tough on Thanksgiving. However, they are the Lions and have already proven that they can lose to the worst of them. But they can also beat the best of them. Therefore, I can not make any predictions for Thanksgiving, other than I will be stuffed to the gills with the pants undone sleepin' on the couch. ;D

This is one of me greatest annoyances in the NFL, mainly with Denver running backs. Davis is not a hall of famer. He had 1 great year, and only 4 years over 1,000 yards. Any NFL back could have got that behind the Bronco's line that year. Also Clinton Portis. Most over-rated player in the NFL. What has he done? Ever since he's left Denver, he's averaged barely 4 yards a carry. That's average at best. "But he gets 1,200 - 1,500 yards a year!" He also is among the league leaders in carries!!

anyway...

I was thinking that Thanksgiving should be a good game, until the season started. 35-7 Titans.

It's funny you said after we walked away that we should have taken a picture because I said the same thing, but then didn't want to bother you. We could tell the girls needed nourishment.

Dang kids and their appetites, especially at a venue where everything is twice the normal price.

It is like I said when we went to Disneyworld. Theme parks, sports venues, and casinos; when you go to any of them, money is not real. I finally put my foot down when my daughter and her friend went to buy a foam finger that was $10. Actually, I did not have to put my foot down. Much to my surprise, both of them said, "$10...that is ridiculous!"

Anyway, when you go to a game the words, "Wow, that is a good deal," should never come out of your mouth.

What's this? jealousy or bitterness?

How can 4-0 in any way be described as"Meaning: A task performed with great ineptitude"?????

C'mon Rock, there's plenty of room on the Titan's bandwagon...

Nah, just found a good picture, and needed a football thread to put it in. I guess it would have been better in the Millen one, huh. I do Cheer for the Titans though... have your defense in fantasy football!
