Introduce yourself!
#1
Hey, here's a novel idea: Why not get to know our fellow posters a bit better and tell a little about yourself!
I'll start.

I was born in Oregon but moved to Nashville, TN about 10 years ago when I was 14. After graduating high school I joined the Marine Corps for 4 years.

As you can see, I was still a goofy a-hole then too.
Well! Four years passed and I separated from the military. I came back to Nashville where I've been for 2 years now...working as a valet.
Go me.

But enough about that crap, I want to know more about you filthy mongrels. Indulge me.

Married with children pretty much says it all. Living in Wilmington, NC with hubby and 2 girls. I'm a stay at home mom which explains my insanity and need for adult conversation. I've been married for 9 years. No pics to post yet....we want to ATTRACT listeners not scare them off.
Here's some more stuff.....I grew up in a traditional household where my mom stayed home with her 3 children while my father worked and was in the Navy. I grew up all over the East Coast and we finally settled here after he retired...this is the longest I've ever lived in one place. I graduated high school and went to work full time in a grocery store where I worked my way into management, met and married my husband, got pregnant and quit work to stay home as well. After we decided not to have another child, I became pregnant, AGAIN, while on the pill. I still stay home, well in my car running the kids everywhere. I volunteer at my girls elementary school a couple of times a week and I love it! I'm thinking about becoming a teachers assistant but going back to school at the ripe old age of 30 makes me nervous. If I could do anything in the world it would be making wedding cakes....I learned to decorate cakes at work and it's sooo fun. I loved making kids birthday cakes and would love to learn how to do more elaborate decorations. My given name is Linzi, but for now, I'm just a mom and a wife...and I'm OK with that.

i'm ryan. i was born in lewiston, maine, moved around a little bit inside the city with my mom and 2 brothers, now i live in auburn, maine, which is like 10 feet away. i graduated high school in 2002, and enrolled in the university of southern maine. my major was leadership and organizational studies, and my minor was information systems. i did full-time data entry stuff for a bank for the second half of my 4 years in college. graduated there in 2006. last year, i applied and got accepted to my current job as a software quality assurance dude, where i sit right now, bored, trying not to get caught playing around on myspace, facebook, and this place.
there are pictures of me somewhere in the "let's see you" thread, if anybody actually wants to see that.

I'm 21, I graduated from The College of New Jersey back in May (and it only took me three years!). I work for the US Army as a civilian making sure their communications systems are running as efficiently as possible. I live on the Jersey Shore with my boyfriend of two years. He's a teacher at a Catholic high school (great.) so it looks like I'll be working for the rest of my life. We'll be moving down to Maryland in a few years because the Army base I work on is relocating. So if all goes according to plan we'll get married and move down there together to start our life. Hopefully by then FB+HW will have an affiliate out of DC.
That's what she said.

I am a father of twin girls and a husband to a wonderful wife. I don't sleep nearly well or long enough. I was in the United States Navy and couldn't get out quick enough. The experience I gathered was fine but I just couldn't stand someone constantly telling me what to do. I play guitar or look for a quiet place as a means of escape. People who know me well know I'm an introvert. Those who don't know me well think I'm an extrovert.

I work in sales which is the opposite of what an introvert should do; especially when there are very few decompression moments when the day is done.

Chicks dig me because I don't wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual.
Go fuck yourself. Hard.

I'm Scott. I'm 33, and I live just north of Albany, New York. I've been married to the best wife in the world for four years. Before that we dated for about three years. Our first child is on the way - she's due Saturday, actually.

Not unlike Biff, I'm a pretty quiet guy. Not because I'm shy, per se, I just find that most people will eventually annoy the crap out of me, so I save myself the drama and just write them off early. I'd much rather have a tight group of true friends than a massive group of acquaintances.

Hobbies - I'm stimulated by anything related to the arts....music, painting, photography, writing. My ultimate dream is to become employed in the television industry as a comedic television writer, but since that hasn't happened yet, I'm quite content writing for fun/practice. I also love to cook (and eat), and pretend to know how to play my acoustic guitar, which generally consists of me playing about 8 chords and 6 songs. (If I could ever figure out the damned F and B chords, my universe would open up exponentially.)

I also love being outside in nature - boating, riding the motorcycle, camping and hiking, etc.

I've got three cats and two dogs, a Lab/Husky mix and a Belgian Malinois.

I work as a hospital administrator, which I don't particularly enjoy, but I've noticed that if I keep going back, I keep getting money. So I've got that goin' for me.

Play the F chord as a power chord and don't strum the lowest two strings.

The F chord was also a bitch for me to learn. Gm sucked a donkey dick too.

Nice. I'll take any conversation with anyone other than my kids! As long as we don't have to talk about Cartoon Network or 2nd grade math I'm good.

I am the husband of the most wonderful wife on the face of the planet. We have a 6-1/2 month old daughter who is the light of our lives. My wife and I went to high school (Hopkins, but don't laugh please) together but never really knew eachother. Both of our Mom's are/were teachers and they tried to set us up numerous times. We went out once to get our parents off our backs and I proposed after 5 months of dating because I knew she was "the one." Our parents will never let us forget that.

I went to Hope College for 2 years but found out that when they recruit you to play football and you stop playing football because you blew your knee out, they stop giving you the big financial aid packages. After my 2 year stint I joined the work force and sold hydraulic and pneumatic components for a while and now own/run a company in Holland that supplies production machines to the automotive industry among others.

We still live in a small starter house in Wyoming and plan to move to Holland in the next few years.

I enjoy hunting, golfing and watching hockey and football. I really enjoy spending time with my family and just hanging out around the house.

I live in Oak Island,NC.. Best place in the world!! Just celebrated my 26th anniversary with the greatest man on earth. He introduced me to the show and I'm hooked. He's a smart guy who loves Thtoopid humor. We have three grown kids.( We only had to change the locks twice to get them to leave!!)

I hiked the full length of the Appalachian Trail in 2002. Best and worst experience of my life.

I'm a freelance book editer, so I can work in my jammies!

I'm 24, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications about a year ago (holy crap it doesn't seem like it's been nearly a year). I'm currently working in a medical records department, but am looking to get into the Marketing/PR field. I've been a bridesmaid for too many jobs over the past year.

Got married just about six months ago (as of Monday), and we recently purchased our first home. I enjoy photography, especially sports photography.

Well, let me see...
I was born and raised here in W MI. I went to school in the UP, moved back down here when there were some family issues. Started working for victoria's secret, re-connected with an ex about 2 years ago, and married him 3 1/2 weeks ago. We're setting up home less than a block away from the house I grew up in and we're waiting for his 5 year old son to move down with us. Oh, and no matter how much they suck, I'm loyal to my teams (which is really hard when you're a lions fan married to a packer fan).
Do what's right....even when no one is looking.

I feel like this is an AA meeting, never been to a real one, but sounds like the ones on TV. (Can't stand the smell of an alcoholic drink.) Okay, my name is Diana. I live in Murfreesboro, TN, and listen to The Buzz only during the hours of the FB & HW show. I have been married for 3 years to a great guy that got me to listen to the show. Not long after listening I joined the board and got the podcast. I prefer to listen to country music, but open to anything. Was a military brat for 19 years, moved every where, and finally moved back to Tennessee when my Dad got out. I work at a call center, and drive people with cell phones crazy. (They call me, I don't call them.) (Not my fault they were stupid and broke their phone.) Bought our first house last year, and now am trying to build up our family. We have four cats. ***Mark can I sit down now???*****

But see, you know going into any given year that your team is probably going to suck. When you're a Bills fan, you have to deal with hope. Every year, it's the same thing. They do just well enough to get you excited again, then they let you down. Take this season - they opened with their best start in 15 years. At one point they were the #1 team. We start getting hopeful that maybe this is the year...BAM. Kick in the nuts.

At least with the Lions there's never any real chance!

I would rather be kicked in the nuts once in a while, rather than just have them continuously stood on. Being a bills fan, you do play a nice hand with the whole 4 super bowl thingy, but the Lions are the Royal Flush. (plus, you can add U of M on that this year too!)

They're 5-5...which sounds great, I'm sure. But remember that they started the season 4-0. Like I said, you guys can always know going into the season that odds are good you're not going to go very far.

Side note: How funny is it that two people would be arguing about how much worse their team is?

Hell, I'd be happy with 3-7 right now. BTW, about the disappointment thing, the Lions started out 6-2 last year. They are 1-17 since.

I was also thinking the same thing... we suck... no we suck more!

Here's what I'll tell ya for now:

Tony Magiera
Coburn Elementary, Battle Creek, MI
Marshall Middle School, Marshall, MI

Marshall High School - hung out with the rock kids, was somewhat rowdy for Marshall, but nothing too serious, was in a number of bands, including lead guitarists for Fallout! (not to be confused with the 19 bands named just "Fallout"), which won the MHS Battle of the Bands in 2002.

went to WMU, majored in Film, Video, and Media Studies, minored in General Business

When I graduated was the time my brain broke. I think it's starting to heal now, though.

I now help install vinyl flooring; I'm pretty good with a pneumatic staple gun. I don't really like it too much, and I'm trying to apply my college education, but motivation's been an issue since my brain broke, and now that it's getting better, financing my projects is really hard right now, but I remain optimistic.

I like doing creative things, especially when it involves humor. I used to like making poorly-drawn comics, but it's been a while. I like to write music, but again, not a whole lot lately. I plan on doing more audio and video projects in the near future, as resources and time become available.

I'm Tony Magiera.

P.S. With the Lions, we still have hope, but it's hope of a lack of embarrassment. Just last year, they started a respectable 6-2. Even before this season, the papers were all hopefull they would win maybe even 10 games.

Now we have hope, hope of a perfect 0-16 record because at least that would be interesting and would be our only chance at something historical. However, deep down, we know they'll find a way to even screw that up.

I don't really want them to move, though, because if they could do you-know-what, even decades now, it would be the greatest day in sports history for the state of Michigan. No expansion team or other nearby team could win that feeling for me.
