Heading to day 2 of the Motorcycle show and rail jam and possibly another shoot with another Hooters model. Then.... me and photoshop for about 3 days to get caught up on all the photos I've put off for the last month. :o

If you go to the Rail Jam, make sure you get there sort of early. It was packed yesterday, and you really had to fight to get a good spot for photos.

I'd give it a solid sweetness x 9.5. Only thing that kept it from getting a full 10 in my book was the small pack of kids that nudged their way in front of me while I was shooting photos. They kept jumping up and down which was not only occasionally getting in the way of my shot, but also made the bleachers I was standing on shake, which didn't really help with the whole photo deal either. Aside from that, it was awesome. Good band on stage, energetic crowd, good smells coming fron the grill area, and some sweet action on the ramp. I'd love to go back today to see the snowboard competition, but I've had other plans in place for awhile.

I hear about shit like this that goes on in the GR area because i listen on GRD, and I think to myself "Eff, why can't shit like this happen here?"

The one event I really miss is the car races they did downtown for a couple of years, back in the late 90's. I was in middle school at the time, so I didn't really have a way to get myself down there to watch in person, but I was able to watch them on TV. Nowadays I'd love to have them happen again, and get down there with my camera.

Potty, I got there wayyyyyy to Fing early on Saturday, I ended up waiting too long for the peeweesto start and got bored and left, so today I waited for the intermediates to go, and the crowd was just too big to budge through so I tried to get some shots from behind the back stop, which was a great place to shoot, until one of the competitors crashedand went over the back, and missed me and my cmaera by about an inch. Then I switchedto the side with the hot tubs, and that was okay, but again I got bored waiting and the sun was going down so I left....
I gotta say it was pretty darn cool having a snowboard contest, and a live rock concert in a parking lot in the middle of downtown G R.

I've realized that as of today I have owned my car for 3 months. As of today, I've put 5,200 miles on it already...
