They took the show away
#1
This week maverick media changed the format of the carp in Eau Claire, wi. Without warning they changed it to christmas music over to the weekend then to bob fm an easy listening station and no freebeer and hotwings. They have a lot of angry listeners who even started a facebook page protesting the change.
Now not only do I not have my hard rock but no freebeer and hotwings show either!
This stinks.

Everyday you reinvent yourself into a bigger cock-shite than ever. It's incredible. I don't know how you do it. I admire you.

I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

I worry about this all the time. Afraid one day they are just going to pull the plug. The renewal date for St Cloud is next month.

That blows. I wonder why so many radio stations just pull the plug on any show that they have instead of explaining the change ahead of time. It's sucky situations like this that make me glad I live in Michigan; the home base of the show.
I am the irrepressible dark horse.
Film it. Listen to it. Live it. Love it.

All the best,
The Mayor of Awesometown

I'm in Charleston, so I've been through this before. I was actually listening to 96 Wave the moment they changed format. No one knew that they were going to switch. I was doing homework and listening to the radio. They played a Soundgarden song, then when it ended, some dorky voice came through saying welcome to the new Chuck fm. Just like that, in the middle of a weekend afternoon. One word for you bean - podcast!

There was a threat a few years ago in Portland that the Bone was going to switch to an all-sports talk format. I purchased the podcast and I've never listened to them again, even though they changed their mind. I didnt like the games
