Well damn, you must not hate construction too much, in that case.
All you need to do as a driver is give a biker some space. When passing them, just move over to the side a little bit. If there's incoming traffic when you're approaching a biker, just take a few seconds to be patient, slow down, let the approaching traffic get past, and then go around the biker. Does it seriously make you be that far behind schedule?
