Well speaking from experience in my family, we had ADHD that runs rampant, and that IS a disease. In order to curb the effects of ADHD, prescription medicine is necessary. If you cannot, or will not, take the prescription medicine, other illegal drugs can produce the same results. Therefore, I believe that drug addiction can be a disease. My 2 cents worth . . .
