He didn't specify, but I don't see how he could deny one but not the other. The only fundamental difference is the time it takes. A series of compounded micro-evolutions is what leads to macro-evolution.
Creationalists wouldn't agree with you. I however am not one and really have never cared enough to learn their arguments well enough to throw any other thoughts out there.
