I woke to my phone ringing. My brother called to tell me a plane had crashed into the WTC. I was pursuing a carreer in aviation at the time and had been at work the night before at the airport. My friend called on his way to class and came by my place right after my brother had called. We turned on the TV right before the second plane hit. I knew when I saw the second plane hit, that my carreer in aviation was going to be seriously side tracked. I was off of work for a few days. I remember people lining up for gas and groceries. Gas prices spiked and malls closed. It was a very surreal time.
