While there are not 3 posts between mine, I am taking my first turn of the day but won't take my second turn until there are 3 posts between mine

sounds reasonable, give a reset for a day after the midnight mark would sound as a fair rule for the game (i am assuming also that posts without the segments in it don't count as posts going toward the 3 in between posts)
