If that were the mentality of the NFL, Brees wouldn't have played this last week, They Lions wouldn't have been playing Smith, Johnson, Sims, etc for the last 8 weeks, the Bengals, Chiefs, etc wouldn't have been playing their stars.... and so on. The only time teams rest players is if they are headed to the playoffs, and already have their spot locked up (ie home field advantage through out)
