To add to that. The Red Wings have made it to the playoffs 17 years in a row. 17! That goes all the way back to 1991. No team in ANY sport has made it to the playoffs that many years in a row ever. Not even the Yankees. The Wings also show no signs of letting up on that streak either. Pittsburgh got their team by sucking and getting a good draft pick. The Red Wings get their teams by having a good owner who's willing to spend the money, build up a legacy, and then by having the best GM in all of sports. The man who can draft players like Datsyuk and Zetterberg in the 5th and 6th round and have them turn out to be 2 of the best players ever. They didn't go out and find some kid that everybody and their mother has heard of who was really good. As long as Ilitch owns the team and Holland is GM you will see the Wings in the playoffs.
