LOL...yep, you're mr. mom...and it means that your wife is smart by letting you deal with it. Nothing moves a kid faster than sending dad after 'em....atleast thats how it is here. By the time he gets home they are totally sick of listening to me, which is fine cause I'm over them too. Mine are 8 and 5 so they just lay there untl I drift off to sleep again then get up and demolish the place...if they cry they know it'll keep me awake and party time is over. They're getting a little smarter every day....I can't even hide shit anymore cause now they're building make shift ladders and climbing everywhere....ahhhhh!

lol mine are 5 and 3. I have been layedoff for a while now so i am the one taking care of them all day. making the food, keeping things straightened up in the house and so on. I have always cooked dinner though even before i lost my job so that hasn't changed but that is because i like to cook.
Trick is yeah they get smarter day by day, you just have to try to stay a step ahead of them lol, you have to expect their next move before they make it. in the art of war sun tzu said it best, basically he said to prepare for anything because if you are not ready for it it will happen. or something like that, you get the point lol.

I love my kids they keep things interesting, never a dull moment.
