This comment reminds me of something I heard at work this afternoon.
One coworker was telling another about how she almost won $7000 yesterday from something. The other coworker made the comment, "That wouldn't have been enough to quit working, but you'd have been able to retire a lot sooner!"
At first I thought she was being sarcastic with that remark, but quickly the sad truth set in... she was completely serious. Now don't get me wrong, I'd love to get $7000 right now, but there's no way that'll help me retire any sooner than if I didn't have it.
I'm with ya potthole. What's up with that?
