10x - x = 9.9999... - 0.9999...
9x = 9
x = 1.

lets do it a little differently:
x = 0.999....
10x = 9.999...

equation 2 - equation 1

.....(10x = 9.999...)
...- ( 1x = 0.999...)
........9x = 9

..........x = 1
