Mike he is right, try it on your calculator just like adding .1111... to .9999.... gives you 1.1111...., If you subtract .1111.... from 1, you get .8888...
and as far as the calculator work goes, that only counts for as many as you can put on the calculator and not the actual infinite, you can't really calculate an infinite with a calculator.
