I reaaally liked Star Trek. For some reason I'm attracted to young Spock. Now I'm just waiting for Terminator Salvation and Angels & Demons.

Torque, your movie list sounds like mine. I really liked Star Trek too. But I am going to add G.I. Joe and Transformers 2 to the list.
05-13-2009, 11:00 AM
I forgot about GI Joe, I don't know how, it opens on my b-day. That did look good too. I will definitely be seeing Transformers but I didn't feel that excited about it from the trailer. I am interested in seeing how much was actually filmed at the old Bethlehem Steel Plant which is minutes from where I live. I'm sure the second will also provide adequate eye and ear porn for mechanic wannabes like me. Megan Fox doesn't hurt.

I recently re-watched Transformers and I really want to like it, but damn they really made a potential A of a movie into a C+ pile of crap.
Too much humor. Anthony Anderson could have been cut from the entire movie. Agent Dipshit of sector 7, same thing, chould have/should have been cut. Psssshhhh.... Whatever, let's all hope for the best with #2

Wanted. It was alot better than I thought it was going to be. I stayed away from it due to fanboy silliness. Still like the miniseries better

The Benchwarmers. Holy crap was that awful. But awful in a car-crash way, where you just had to keep watching to see just how bad it could get.
05-18-2009, 07:09 AM
I remember liking Benchwarmers, but it's been a while since I've seen it so maybe it hasn't aged well.
Over the weekend I bought used copies of: Sex Drive Unrated edition, not bad but certainly not great, Tropic Thunder, absolutely worth renting or buying Hancock, this was much better than I exected, and a lot of fun

Star Trek, it was pretty good.

P.S. I Love You. Sorry, I can't say anything about the movie or i'll cry again.

Angels and Demons.
Thought it was above average, but not a great movie. Wouldn't pay a second time to see it in the theater, but will buy the DVD when it hits.
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

I've watched it a few times since it's been all over HBO and it gets me everytime....like for an hour straight, it's pretty exhausting. I watch it alone because I think female tears scare Howie. Star Trek, in IMAX. Holy. Balls.
Everyday you reinvent yourself into a bigger cock-shite than ever. It's incredible. I don't know how you do it. I admire you.
I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

Well I'm not sure about that specific situation, but to think that millions had to go through that is heart wrenching. But I do intend on getting the book that the movie is based on. According to some others who have watched it, the book is really good.
What? I didn't do it.

the new Terminator blows.
i'm gonna start a petition to get Hollywood to stop wrecking classic movies with these horrible sequels.

Batman Begins. It was awesome, and I can't believe I had avoided it for so long.
After the last of the "old" Batman movies (i.e. the ones before Batman Begins) I had sworn off the Batman franchise. Finally some people convinced me to give these new ones a try, so I put Begins up on my que. I'm glad I finally let soembody convince me that these new movies are much better than the old ones.

Paul Blart (rented) - what a festering turd. Thought it had potential because I usually find Kevin James funny and it made a ripple at the box office.
Star Trek - Liked it for what it was, summer popcorn fun. I'm not 0rz, so I didn't get all the backstories and parrallels to the current/recent Trek stuff. One thing I don't like, however, is time travel in movies. It's just a lazy way to tell a story and get around plot holes/issues.  Terminator - Enjoyed it like Star Trek, although I felt the ending was predictable and duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumb.  One movie I just re-watched because I enjoyed it so much was "Inside Man."
I'm.......kind of a big deal. People know me.

Star Trek - I spent the first half dodging hands (if you know what I mean) and the second half trying not to fall asleep (he had given up). I liked it, even though sci fi and Star Trek aren't really my thing.

I remember the days of having to dodge hands during movies. I really hated it when my mom would send my brother and I to the movies.
I saw Terminator today, and I'd give it a B- not bad, super duper cool effects, but myeh overall.

The Hangover
The director that did Old School directed this movie so I went in with high expectations and was still blown away. Easily the best movie I have seen so far this year. Left the theater with tears in my eyes from laughing so hard, especially at the end.
