worried about kids and porn.
#1
Kids looking at porn on the Internet is very different than when we looked at our dads porn 30 years ago. There were girls on girls, just single girls and girls with toys. There were no beastiality pictures in these. No two girls one cup or any of the other out of the regular stuff. At an older age you can deal with these shocking things better than when you are 12 or 13.

I noticed that the guys were generally more worried about the sex and drugs in GTA rather than the violence. Zane was talking about playing a violent game and his son shooting some guy in the head and pink mist flying out. But is that really not as bad as Roman on GTA saying that the players breath smells like tits? The reason that sex and drugs are more taboo than extreme violence is because kids are much more likely to have a sexual experience at a very young age. No 10 year old kid can go get a rifle and snipe someone, but there is a good chance he is going to be alone with the neighbor girl and play doctor. I will admit right here that I got to third base before I even knew how to have sex. I can even remember how old I was because I was so young and I know many people have had similar experiences.

I understand your point and if I had kids I'm sure I would worry about my kids looking at porn too. Either online or in magazines, but it being my #1 worry? I think I would worry more about my kid being a porn addict where he can't be 15 minutes from the www or being a victim of online predators.....that really freaks me out. Or the kid being strung out on drugs and being a heroin addict at 12.

But I do in fact have no kids so maybe when I do have some I'll change my opinion.

This poll were answered by parents, so the problems mentioned are going to be problems that the parents themselves are dealing with, which they don't want to have their kids go through. The struggles of people with online porn nowadays is a hell of a lot more rampant and serious than what most people realize. It's an addiction just like any other. And in some ways, it's even harder to deal with since there's no "Online Porn Anonymous" that people can go to for help. At least there isn't yet, anyway.

You can go to xxxchurch.com
I think that's what it is for, although I wouldn't know because as soon as I found out that it wasn't a catholic schoolgirl focused site, I blocked it. Smile

In addition to Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler, my dad had BDSM cartoons and hard core F-mags and this was in the early to mid-70's. I'm sure he paid more or them. And since he didn't really hide them very well, if I was sneeky, I could almost look at them any time I wanted to. Just because there was no internet back then dosn't mean that hardcore didn't exist. At least in the 70's.
