My boss is the Statler Brothers attorney. Of couse, when they were younger, they played with Johnny Cash and "Got Paid by Cash". They really thought the world of him and attribute a lot of their success to him as well. He was an awesome songwriter and singer. I never knew of his hardships with drugs until I saw "Walk the Line." I don't really look at him any differently, though. My brothers and Uncle did some work on his house in Hendersonville and my Uncle actually talked with him a few times. My Dad, Uncle and I play a few of his songs every now and then when we can get together for a picking session. He is sadly missed by many.
