After listening to some stuff on the show the last couple of days, I'm wondering if WGRD fired Lynae. On Thursday the guys were complaining about the smokes found in the trash, and on Friday they made some reference about a lady being fired from thet station. Almost immediately after mentioning that, a caller by the name of Lynae called in (not "the" Lynae), and Zane immediately said something about how ironic it was somebody with that name called in.
There's basically no reference to her on the GRD website anymore, her name has been removed from the program listings, and although there's a link to the blog she had, it doesn't work anymore.

well that sucks. she was cool to have a few beers with, although i guess this means more Loose Wendy and i have no problem with that.
maybe related, but a few months ago i remember her, Lynae, posting a myspace bulletin asking people to give honest critiques of her show.

I had grown to like Lynae. When she first started, she annoyed me like none other, and I actually would avoid listening to GRD at all costs when I knew she was on, but the longer she was on, the better she got.
It'll be interesting to see if she was indeed let go or not.

they made a ref this morning about a "DJ", who thought it was ok to drink and smoke in the studio. Then they did all the whore drops and you could "feel" freebeer trying to reign in zane(imagine that). That had to be who they were talking about.

that was the giveaway. i would never have guessed her if he didn't say that. i'm also 7 or so states away, whatever that means.
is it just me, or does anyone else think it's suspicious that that caller hung up instantly? like the only real point was to get the name "lynae" mentioned on air? it's not a common name.

Nah, her MySpace is seperate from the blog I mentioned. A few of the DJ's have a little blog section on the main WGRD website. She used to have one, and if you dig you can find a link to it still, although the link just takes you back to the homepage now.
I couldn't really tell you much about her MySpace page, the only thing I've seen of it is what somebody just posted in here.

I hope this doesn't mean more of Loose Wendy. That lady cannot carry an on-air "conversation" worth a lick. Look out if she tries to read something while broadcasting, too.
She could get better, because I thought Lynae was unbearable to listen to when she first began, but right now, I'd quit listening if there were to be more of Wendy.

Listening to my podcast today, I noticed that on Wednesday's show, one of the guys made a comment about another former employee- this one being fired for sealing gift cards from the office. Wonder if this is what ever came of Dave Fox?

Good. I think I can start listening again at night now. I really didn't like Lynae. Fox was a deuche and Spud... meh. I stopped listening to her probably about a year or so ago I think. I'd been listening to Coast to Coast on AM. Weird stuff... weird weird.

I had a friend who often times worked third shift, so he'd listen to that show quite a bit. We'd go to a couple of Tigers games in the summer, and usually tune in as we drove back from Detroit. That show had some very "interesting" callers.
