I dig the covers of "It Ain't Me Babe" done by both Johnny Cash and New Found Glory. (orginally by Bob Dylan)

edit: Oh, and I'm not normally big into Punk, but there is a CD called "Pop goes Punk" that has a bunch of well... pop songs covered by punk bands. It's a fun listen.

I don't care for most country music, but Brooks and Dunn's cover of "My Maria"(BW Stevenson), is awesome.

Paul Rodgers' ( Free, Bad Company, the Firm) acoustic version of "Feel Like Makin' Love" is great.

Ryan Adams - Wonderwall
311 - Love Song
New Found Glory - Iris & Tennessee

I'll come back with more. These are just my current (although the songs aren't current) cover faves right now.

American Pie - Don McLean = best song ever; Madonna = she should be shot for trying, and hanged for failing.

Ready to throw me under the bus?....

I can't stand metallica. All of their covers turn the original song to complete S..... and I'm not just trying to pick a fight. They're garbage. Each one of their albums has gradually gotten more and more produced and puss.

i've never heard of these guys before. found them on youtube. i guess all they play is bluegrass covers of hit songs. i heard their version of "roses" (outkast) and thought it was good in a goofy way. then i watched this and really liked it.

I think so, and if I remember right, I cringed and gagged a little when I heard it.

A Couple great covers:
No More Mr. Nice Guy- Megadeth
Anarchy In The U.K.-Megadeth
a couple shitty ones:
Smokin' In the Boys Room- Motley Crue
Behind Blue Eyes-Limp Bizkit
both of those skip entire verses of the song.

Joe Cocker has done some excellent covers including "A Little Help From My Friends".
Aerosmith's "Come Together" was excellent.
Hendrix did "All Along The Watchtower" better than Dylan
SRV did an equally as good "Superstition".
Go fuck yourself. Hard.
