President Obama

What do you think the Obama Administration will look like in the next four years? If nothing else, It sure will rankle a lot of backwoods hicks. My dad, at my nephews football game, during an exciting play while alot of people were cheering yelled "OObaamaa!!" Fifteen people turned around and glared at him.
"Sir, You need to get out of your car, there is a train comming."
"Why ummm... uhhh did you ummm... feel the need to errrrr, god why can't I type!!"

A steaming pile of dogshit.

We were screwed either way but you're going to see 3 SCOTUS judges retire and then we'll get to see the constitution shit on when legislation from the bench becomes the status quo.

Good job Obama supporters. You're about to usher in the progressive country many of you wished for.
Go fuck yourself. Hard.

President Obama is the product of the liberal media shoving him down our throats since day one.

I'm not bitter.

I am. But not solely because of Obama. If McCain had won I would be equally bitter. This whole election, including the McCain nomination, has been because of the media.

Now I'm curious to find out who will be behind Obama pulling the strings.

This is why I think the media needs to stay out of elections, and truly let the people decide for themselves.

I think the better candidate won, although I don't think either candidate were the best for this country. I highly doubt that 3 justices will retire in the next 4 years, however. I would guess 2 max (Ginsburg and Stevens) and those 2 have shown a more liberal stance so if Obama replaces them he will be replacing them with like-minded judges and the balance will not shift one iota.

I found it interesting that Obama was labeled an "elitist" at the beginning of the campaign, but last night Obama had a party for the people and McCain sat in his private hotel with an intimate crowd of invitation-only guests.
“I wanna tell Y’all that I ain’t votin for nobody that don’t say freedom enough. Freedom ain’t free, Free Beer. We gotta fight for freedom, Hot wings. Zane you gotta eat freedom fries...Freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom..FREEDOM!"

There is always someone pulling the strings....Bush is a prime example. He is as dumb as a box of rocks but there was always someone telling him what to say and do. "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

Incidently, while I did vote for Obama, I am not pleased that Congress went to the Dems as well. The checks and balances are in danger of being almost eliminated. There are 4 Senate seats up for grabs yet, and if the Dems win all of them to give them 60 seats total, the Republicans will lose fillibustering.

The pendulum has definitely swung from a goodly distance right to possibly even further left, thanks in part to the unpopularity of Bush. That's a scary thought. Let's all hope these people have our best interests at heart.

Agreed,

I'm very centrist and I can live with a Dem pres as long as there is a centered congress.

That's not a serious statement, is it? They are politicians, they're going to do what's best for them, at that moment in time. Then lie about it later.

Jokes going around at work (yes, you may concider them racist):

1. The name of the white changed to the white crib.
2. Spinners on the limos of the President's procession.
3. Instead of a flag pin, flag pendant on a big gold chain.
etc, etc.

No, they are not mine. I'm not that empty headed. Just thought it was odd that people still immediately made those associations.

I think America made a mistake last night. While I'm sure Barack Obama is a decent man, and I'd love to sit down and have a beer with him, I disagree wholeheartedly with his politics.

Government isn't the solution for anything. I'm sure many of you will disagree, but I needn't look much further than the inefficiency of the Postal Service, TSA, Medicaid, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the brilliantly executed bail-out plan to support my belief.

My only hope is that in the next four years, those of you who think government can fix everything (at no charge to you) will see socialism for the failure that it has historically been (Cuba, China, N. Vietnam, N. Korea, Venezuela, E. Germany, the Soviet Union, etc...) and that in 2012, we'll be able to fix everything that President Obama has destroyed.

I keep hearing these socialism arguments, and they may be well-founded, I don't know. But what I want to know is this: how socialist are we right now? Let's not pretend that Obama would be unveiling socialism to America like it's a new concept. The government bailing out failing banks at the taxpayers expense was a classic example of socialism (and McCain suspended his campaign to help push it through Congress, let's not forget).

Don't get your hopes up too much zester. I would suggest building a bomb shelter and stocking it with supplies to last years on end. It will be the only safe place to be in a few years, or how ever long the world lasts after this catastrophe. Maybe the Mayans were right. I bet somewhere they even predicted the outcome of this election, and probably contributed it to the end of the world.

I agree, Fistor. In fact I even mentioned the ill-conceived bail-out in my original presentation. Though I do appreciate your reiteration of it. That was a nice reassurance that I'm being listened to.

As for the question at hand - how socialist are we? The answer is simple. TOO socialist. If the Republicans had returned to the Regan-esque values of Conservatism (smaller government, more personal responsibility) and nominated a candidate with those values in the foreground, they would have stood a better chance.

Sadly, in the end, President Bush lost an election in which he wasn't even running.

In the spirit of fairness, I'd like to request that you take the +1 that I have earned, and give it to someone with lower karma. It's not fair that I have all of these points, when there are people who haven't made the points I have, suffering with lower karma. In fact, if you could find someone with zero posts, just take a point from me and give it to them. We all deserve the same opportunities.

Then, maybe take the rest of your hard earned karma, and give it to those with negative karma. It's not fair that you have positive, when there are people out there struggling in the negative.

I'd argue that there should be better legislation, that those that have little karma be given some karma, but also educated as to how to earn their own karma and not rely on karma handouts.
Everyday you reinvent yourself into a bigger cock-shite than ever. It's incredible. I don't know how you do it. I admire you.

I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

It could be argued that any lack of desire in the re-distribution of karma is racism, as we all know that the only people with low karma are minorities. If you oppose spreading the karma, you might as well go to a Klan meeting.

Well, to tell you truth, I use 90% of my exalt/smite ability trying to keep titan from getting a lifetime ban from -100 karma, so I am already following your spectacular plan of action. I would donate any or all of my 'hard-earned" karma to those in the negative, merely for the benefit of those with less in the world.
