where is the best of podcast>

Free Beer did say something about putting some older segments in the podcast for the podcasters during the holiday break, but, like most things they say they'll do, they probably didn't. (i.e Best of CD, Hot Wings Music Video, etc.)

Cheer up man, it's Christmas. If whining is working, run with it, but if it's not then maybe you should read the 42 threads about what to do if you're not getting podcasts and see if that helps. Happy Holidays.

For Itunes users. Enter your subscription link in your adress bar. From the site, manually download to a save location. From there manually add them to your itunes library. I relabeled mine in a numeric order, so they would stay in the podcast section. ie: labled as 12 20 17 , 12 20 18, etc.

You're using iTunes thats why. One of the things i have noticed here is that anytime there is a common issue with the podcast being weird or not being there, anyone who is not using iTunes tends to have no problems, and all the iTunes users need to do stuff like re-enter their link, jump through hoops, and then cradle steve jobs' balls and hope for the best.

I think if i understand what is happening is that iTunes has some sort of scheduling algorithm for fetching the podcasts that just sucks, and sometimes you get lucky and it sends a search request at the specific right time to get them, and most of the time it doesnt. The problem almost definitely has to do with something on the server end of it, but it just happens to manifest itself through iTunes because of said scheduling algorithm.

Just for the record, I'm an iTunes user that hasn't ever had any issues with getting stuff. I think that most of the problems people post about are more user error than program error.

I wouldn't rule that out either. It could even be a combination of the two. My thought on this though if it isnt user error, is that you have itunes open more often/sync up more frequently than the people having problems, because it does seem like in these kinds of situations that timing is key.

If I am downloading it at work and everything is fine why wont it downoload at home were I use the same URL, and its worked for 8 months with out problems? Yeah, they were the most recent best of's they had. I won't complain cause they didn't need to do anything in the first place. But if they are gonna go through the hassle of doing it, at least give us some gems from last year or so.
