...by sending me a text informing me of the Curtis Granderson trade. I was in orientation at my new job, and seriously almost exclaimed, "Fuck!" out loud.

The thing that is the punch in the gut with this trade is that the Tigers dealt him to the Yankees. In time I could learn to live with Curtis being traded, but not to the Yankees. Never to those dickheads.

As a Twins fan I have mixed feelings on this. I really think it's fun to go up against you guys so losing the caliber of players you are really does suck. Hopefully this trade will work out for you in the long run

Be prepared to watch something similar happen with Mauer. He might not be traded, but if/when he hits the free agent market, expect the Yankees and their bags of cash to come calling.
