THE MOVIE WAS HILARIOUS
Eddie Murphy has been on a role lately
with shrek 1 and 2 being his best stuff
to date since Delirious
Quote:eddie murphy delirious:
Eddie Murphy: Bear and a rabbit were taking a shit in the woods. And the bear turns to the rabbit and says, \"Excuse me, do you have problems with shit sticking to your fur?\" And the rabbit says, \"No.\" So the bear wiped his ass with the rabbit.

Donkey: You might have seen a housefly, maybe even a superfly, but I bet you ain't never seen a donkey fly. Ha, ha.

i agree that the movie was fucking hilarious. i just got back from seeing it with my friend...and am now officially in love with Puss In Boots--ha ha ha! best line EVER: (as they pull out the bag of catnip) "That's uh...not mine."
gotta love it.

Puss-in-boots (voiced by Antonio Banderas) was hilarious.movie took off a little slow, but once Puss in Boots showed up, the movie just kept getting better and better.
so many great lines the "that's not mine"
as you mentioned was hilarious plus the fairy godmother singing "hero" but it was "livin la vida loca" that got to me.funny shit.
"i'm a real boy!"

I just saw it myself. Definitely an entertaining watch. I laughed quite a bit. It did feel as they followed a particular formula (song in the opening, big number in the end, plenty of pop-culture potshots and disney-mocking) but overall, the script/dialogue/plot was solid.
Now, besides seeing this as just a movie, I tend to try to take in all the geeky aspects of seeing all of these CGI-films, looking for the coolest niftiest tricks they pull using that new-fangled HP technology that the commercial brags about.
Like, I noticed in Toy Story 2, the light rendering was improved 100-fold, soft light and such, it made for a pretty movie.
What I like about this movie over the first, visually speaking, is that the animation was even more fluid than ever and the camera work itself was solid as well.
Lastly, I found that the loyalty of the 3 Blind Mice, the 3 Little Pigs and Pinnochio to Shrek was rather endearing.

sorry i ruined Delirious for you
btw Hawt Baux if you see the
movie leave before the credits..oops
as for the amination it's come along way their CGI look is trying so hard to make it look "real." In the first Shrek and the change over in shrek 2
Fiona looks like a real person she's hardly stylized at all. you gotta remain true to the spirit of animation it just adds to the wonder of it all.
