So, really, the Jewish folks are afraid that us common folk (who understand neither language) will only <i>see</i> the Jews betray Jesus, but not be able to hear and interpret whatever logic was behind their betrayal.

From a STRICTLY religious point of view,
Jesus was born to die on the cross.
It was the reason for his coming.

The mob of jews who chose the thief (forgot his name... Barrabus?) over Jesus were just pawns in God's master plan.

So per the bible blaming the jews for Jesus's death is silly, they should be thanked, for facilitating the conclusion he came here for..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most branches of Judaism not even acknowledge Jesus existed, much less any idea of Him being the Son of God? And those that do acknowledge Jesus' existence consider Him to be merely another prophet?

And if that is the case, why are they so worried? To the Jews, it was just an ordinary man they killed. Jesus only has true significance in Christianity.
