- Goatweed - 10-10-2006 Eric Roberts = gold!! I'm looking forward to this. - faceman802 - 10-10-2006 They're supposed to attach the "venom" spidey 3 trailer to casino royale, so it might be worth it just for that alone - Goatweed - 10-10-2006 Im really interested in Craig's Bond portrayal, the idea was to humanize him more, less flashy gadgets & more character development, etc. Based on the trailer it looks to be exactly that, which is refreshing. Plus, no quirky Jinx character to sell a few more DVD's... - faceman802 - 10-10-2006 what a jinx? - Goatweed - 10-10-2006 hot, but unnecessary to the plot and movie. Allegedly they were trying to give her a spinoff series but thankfully MGM opted not to go that route. - faceman802 - 10-10-2006 ah, ok - HedCold - 10-10-2006 oh man, buster is in the stranger than fiction movie - Galt - 10-10-2006 I wonder how they'll play off his hook hand. - Galt - 10-10-2006 Gooch Wrote:I actually agree with Galts take. The editting was not so bad, but the continuity was sloppy...made me think it had to be on purpose..but not sure. never saw Infernal Affairs, the Hong kong movie its based on. Jack overacted, and I'd had preferred a more creepy fellow, it wasn't bad persay. Damon's character was scripted a bit shallow. DiCaprio was very good. Alec Baldwin was hilarious...and made me with Marky Mark's straightforward lines which were funny, were spoken by someone with acting skills. No depth. Dialogue, overall, was excellent, which leads to believe that someone was brought in to "punch" it up. ((Mamet, Tarantino sometimes do that)). The directing was excellent, and it was a very good movie with a few points of contention. Yeah, Baldwin was great - and I hate him. He should only do roles like this/Outside Providence. Looks like his character in 30 Rock is like this too. Continuity is really what I meant by "editing". It was bad. Not quite "Braveheart bad" but pretty bad. I still can't get over the last scene. It was so cheesy it makes me cry. Just that 2 seconds of film should lose him any chance at an Oscar. - Gooch - 10-11-2006 - GonzoStyle - 10-11-2006 I dont have sound on my pc but by 300, I can assume that this movie is about the spartans? - Gooch - 10-11-2006 yup - GonzoStyle - 10-11-2006 I love that part of history, the spartans are utterly fascinating to read about, so I would definitly be interested in seeing this. - Goatweed - 10-12-2006 wtf happened to the sound on your PC? didnt you just get this one built for you? - GonzoStyle - 10-12-2006 I was at work, duh! - Goatweed - 10-12-2006 oh, my bad - I thought Crazy Ivan fucked up. - GonzoStyle - 10-12-2006 no he threw in the speakers for free, they even have neon lights. all I need is some X - Goatweed - 10-12-2006 glowsticks!!!! - GonzoStyle - 10-12-2006 magus can bring some - Goatweed - 10-12-2006 I wonder how Magoo is doin' these days.
