I sure as hell am paying their contract. If fans organized and made a real effort to strike against baseball, to boycott baseball there would be NO REVENUE, NO MONEY TO PAY THEIR CONTRACTS.
The difference with baseball and microsoft is that many of the companies that use microsoft products are so in deep with the customization to their software products that they would never be able to afford to buy their soul back from M$. Microsoft products are so deeply intwined into most businesses that it would be impossible to boycott them or their products unless they decided to declare bancruptcy and start from square one, or completely restructure their business.
