Galt, it comes down to the simple fact of precedence. Baseball games are not meant to be tied. Period. Tori Hunter risked and injury going for Bonds' ball but no one says dick. Every pitcher who played in the game risked getting a ball slapped off of his face and no one says dick. Every player running down the baseline risked a Griffey Jr. hamstring pull and no one says dick. The players know the fuckin risks but still play the fuckin game because they are fuckin honored to be there. I can make you sick for wanting to see the end of a game. Thats fine. Those stammering fucks on Baseball tonight said it best: Jaws is a great movie but you still want to see what happens to the shark at the end of the movie. If it was hockey, thats a totaly different story. Hockey games end in ties. Shit, soccer games end in ties. The way you are talking, you basicly should feel the same way at the end of the season as well. Why should they play any of the games at the end when they are already out of the playoffs? We know Tampa Bay won't make the play offs, so, why not let them start resting for next year tomorrow so no one gets hurt. In fact, The Royals are playing the Bluejays in a few weeks, why risk the injuries? MLB should just decalre all games that are "Meaningless" a tie and be done with it.
