All-Star games are to promote the sport to the audience. It's an audience-related industry. The audience doesn't want a tie. The audience wants them to play the fucking game the way it was meant to be played, period. The audience also pays the contracts, by the way. The audience will be dictating the contraction, too.
So, as a promotion of the "Best in Baseball" a tie is completely UN-fuckingceptable. This all-star game ended up being an embarassment and undermining the very reason of having the game itself.
