the reason i use that is because in the entertainment business it applies much more that it does in other arenas.
an entertainers career is beholden to the people who go out and pay for tickets to see them. if they dont buy tickets, they have NO CAREER. its the same thing for baseball.
look at whats happening in Montreal. a few thousand fans show up to see the Expos and thus, their team will likely contract or move to somewhere people actually would go seem them play. its simple supply and demand.
if the interest is not there, joe baseball player is tin knocking down in east harlem.
