keyser....fantastic job. as the heat went up, Stingray danced like a monkey. I'm sure he's convinced that those answers are clear as a bell as he backpedaled himself in saying that things like mentioning Spaz is a mod decision. And makes himself very disconnected to the show. What about Mavric chatting and emailing Opie everyday, promoting Wackbag??? That is a show connection....and Stingray dodges this by saying "he doesn't speak or interact with O&A"...and he hides behind his other mods who are VERY connected. Furthermore...he simply cannot argue with the Spaz stuff, he just stubbornly refuses to admit that they make decisions to placate the show or to placate their own fears of pissing them off. But instead, Stingray rationalizes and hides behind: mod decisions. Those decisions are very based on making sure they are not pissing off the show in any way. If you have noticed anything about Wackbag's mods....they overreact to everything, and are super-reactive, not proactive...and that is b/c there is a clear mindset of his mods to make sure nothing gets posted that will have the show up in arms. And the buck has to stop at the top...b/c his mods just don't have enough individuality and identity to be able to make decisions on their own. Have you ever seen one of them actually debate something with Stingray???
Stingray reads as OA.com mods thought they were god. Look, everyone has their opinion, but I think OA.com mods cared and were very much individuals with identity and some brains...and they tried. They weren't afraid to argue with Froy, or others, to make a point or bring something up. I think Stingray mistakes this kind of intelligence as something dangerous and problematic. And I have a big problem with that narrowmindedness and ignorance. Stingray likes followers....and if you don't follow....you an enemy. This has been clear from very early on.
I would also like to address my issue with Stingray. First off, I did not curse him out. While Howie would do his little "meatflaps, pus and whater" insults...I actually tried to take Stingray to task on the issues themselves. You all know that I have never descended to "cursing out"...but Stingray would dismiss or not get that it was a debate, and then get threatening. "Say it to my face!" and other veiled threats where he let me get so far under his skin, that he missed or would never argue or take up any point...and just react angrily to each an every post. My point, which he never ever understood, is that ANYONE i had a debate or argument with, I would still shake their hand and talk to them in person...b/c in the end it IS just a messageboard and merely some text on a website. But he would get himself into such a lather over it.
When I was at the WWF NY, it was one of the first times I ever came out. Stingray did show later on, and went straight back to hang with some people he knew near the back. He never came to hang with the group of OA.com people, and it wasn't clear who he was, it wasn't till later when Sean told me..."hey, Bri, that's Stingray". He also didn't stay the eve, or it was at the point of the party winding down. Now, at the time, I had a huge feud PR, b/c he was another one who simply could not follow or keep up in an argument, but would slam the site. He and In shook hands and spoke at the next one. To me, always, the board is just a board, and I told PR straight out that I didn't like his tone and post, and chose to take him up on it. Nothing personal. Stingray and PR never ever understood, and Stingray still doesn't...that things said online, especially a heated debate, does not mean one hates the other, or that it should become some sort of confrontation. Had I been introduced to Stingray, or walked up to him, feeling that he could be above that silliness, I would have shook his hand, and told him: you are a real ass online...and told him why. I never shy away from saying what i think when asked. And I have never agreed with anything FM Jeff did online on OA.com, yet I met him and hung out with him a bunch of times...and I think he's a good guy in real life. But, when he did something i disagreed with (eg: trying to delete OAWITE on OA.com) I made sure he knew what I thought of it. Just because I argue or debate does not mean I dislike. I never understood when others could not make the seperation.
So back to Stingray threatening me...the threat was clear that he wanted a confrontation in person. Point was: it was so stupid and overwrought. And I tweaked him on it incessently, b/c Stingray just could not grasp the silliness and stupidity of such an overreaction. And it's him not grasping these points, along with points of people that don't like Wackbag, that does him a real disservice. Look at his own reactions in that interview when points are made...he doesn't grasp how they look or anything on a deeper level. There is a dogged stubborness that is just laughable...and i think he's just incapable to get the irony of certain things...and gets all in a twist over it.

There are four kinds of people in this world: cretins, fools, morons, and lunatics.
